|Stroke Recovery Support Group|
|Date||Monday March 5, 2012|
|Time||1:30 PM - 3:00 PM|
Stroke is a leading cause of death in the United States. For patients and their families who have experienced a stroke, the emotional strain can often be overwhelming. Platte Valley Medical Center (PVMC) offers support through its Stroke Recovery Group to help patients and their families connect with others while learning about valuable community resources.
The group meets in the hospital’s conference center on the first Monday of every month from 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and is facilitated by one of PVMC’s licensed stroke rehabilitation therapists. Recovering stroke patients as well as their care givers, family members and friends are encouraged to attend. Participation is free.
